Charleston Regatta
July 17-18, 2004
Bill Sloger Reporting
Four boats registered and sailed
in possibly the finest venue in the southeast.
There were 3 good races on Sat. and a washout (rainout) on Sunday morning.
Complete with no visibility, lightning and thunder AND waterspouts over James
Island. More excitement than one can stand.
Thank goodness, because the RC started a race on an outgoing tide and light
winds from the same direction as the current plus a one tack beat.
