Notice of Regatta

SPRING REGATTA

May 13-14-15, 2005

Organizing Authority: This regatta is organized under the authority of Buccaneer Yacht Club and will be sailed under the management of its race committee.

Rules: This regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and its amendments; the prescriptions of the US Sailing Association; the Class Rules; the GYA regulations for sanctioned events; except as modified by the sailing instructions, which shall govern in case of a conflict.

Sailing Instructions: Available at registration

Expected Classes: (Three boats constitute a class)

One Design: Sunfish, Star, Lightning and Fish
Flying Scot: Capdeveille, and open fleets
Cruising: PHRF spinnaker and non-spinnaker
Portsmouth spinnaker and non-spinnaker

Entry Fees: Sunfish: USSA Members: $20.00, non-USSA: $25.00
All others: USSA Members: $25.00, non-USSA members: $30.00

Schedule:

Friday, May 13: Registration: PHRF/Portsmouth 6:30-7:30, Skipper's Meeting, 7:30
Saturday, May 14:
10:00: One design registration
11:00: Skipper's meeting
11:00: Race start PHRF/Portsmouth
1:00: First race start, 2 races to follow.

Trophy presentation for PHRF/Portsmouth and live entertainment for all at conclusion of racing.

Sunday, May 15: One design race start 10:30, subsequent race(s) to follow, one design awards to follow race.

Trophies: One Design Classes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Sunfish Class will have 1st through 5th, as well as awards for first female, first junior and first master.
Flying Scot Capdeveille: Awards for winning skipper and crew each race.
Flying Scot Awards will be three deep in capdeveille, and open fleets.
Portsmouth and PHRF Cruising Classes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd per class.
Geotechnical Perpetual Trophy to be awarded to the top PHRF Spinnaker Boat.
