Terry Tyner and Lake Murray Sailing Club hosted the 2005 Sailfest Regatta.  Six SELD Lightning sailors used the event to tune up for the 2005 season.  Saturday morning presented winds in the 20-25 mph range and the race committee postponed the 12:30 start to 1:30.  By 1:30, the breeze was down to 15-20 and we headed for some great racing.

Terry Tyner won both Saturday races.  Pete, Ron, and Pam mixed it up to finish theday all tied for second.  Both races featured downwind finishes and race one was a photo finish for second place.

Saturday night the club served up a great low-country boil.

Sunday morning we headed out with breezes at 5-8 knots.  Pete won the first race to secure second place while Ron and Pam dueled it out for third which was not decided until the final leg.  The wind died after one race so we headed in and called it a regatta.

We had a great time and look forward to the Cottonwood on April 23.
