Regatta Report
Dennis Baker

Marcus was tough all weekend. Way out in front. Good sailors.

Bill sailed great and consistently all weekend.  An old friend of his from our club sailed with him and Keri Dell as Ellie Stone couldn't make it.  First time this fella was on a lightning.  Usually sails force 5's.

Karen Dial sailed well. had a few touch races.  We forced the OCS in race 4 and they never cleared and then she was covering us to the finish in race 5 on starboard, we tacked and ducked her, picked up a bunch of speed and just zoomed as we hardened back up and nipped her at the wire. good 3rd place for her in the regatta though.

Team Tyner also sailed well. They were in the hunt all weekend. Great kids too. Good to see them on the water.

Pam sailed well in adverse circumstances. Had Tom Winn with her and a friend that had never sailed before, then Tom hurt his knee and she had to take another rookie on day 2.  Made it real tough on her launching and dousing the chute.

We had our best travel regatta ever. We actually beat some boats and were within shouting distance of all but Marcus. Big improvement for us and were very happy with that.

Great w/e of sailing.
