The regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the 2001-2004 Racing Rules of Sailing.
The following classes are expected: Melges 24, J24, E scow, Sea Island One Design, Lightning, Flying Scot, Y-flyer, MC scow, Snipe, Laser, Sunfish Master, Senior, Junior and Novice, Sailboards, Moths, Club 420, 420 Junior, Optimist, any class with 4 boats registered.

Awards Ceremony following Protest Time Limit
There will be three race areas; Course A, B and C. The larger boats will sail in Course A. The smaller boats including Club 420s and Sunfish juniors will race in Course B. All other juniors’ classes will race in Course C.
The numbers of races scheduled is 5 for Course A and B, unlimited number for C. One race will constitute a series.
Entry forms and sailing instructions will be available at registration.
The Low Point Scoring System of Appendix A will apply, except that a boat's final score shall be the sum of all races.
Prizes will be given per class as follows: 1st for up to 6 boats; 1st & 2nd up to 9 boats; 1st, 2nd & 3rd up to 12 boats; and 1st, 2nd , 3rd and 4th for 13 or more boats.
The organizers and sponsors bear no responsibility for accidents, damages or injuries to boats or their personnel arising from any cause during the races or related activities. Boat owners or their representatives are the ultimate captains of their boats. Therefore, the South Atlantic Yacht Racing Association and the Charleston Yacht Club will not be responsible for any damage and owners should consult their boat's insurance policy.
